MHA issues fresh COVID guidelines to the states

Ministry of Home Affairs releases its new Covid guidelines for states, saying, 'Avoid all gatherings. All necessary precautions should be taken while re-opening. Testing, the pace of vaccination should be ramped up. MHA also extends its 'Order for implementation of targeted and prompt actions for COVID-19 management till 30th September 2021. The Guidelines also talks about the Covid appropriate behaviour. The MHA says to states that there is a constant worry about the third-wave of coronavirus, therefore, the states have to be very cautious during the upcoming festival seasons and 'if required, impose local restrictions with a view to curb such large gatherings'.
